Kate is knitting a pile of hearts out of Organik, Road to China + Canopy Fingering. The pattern is adapted* from the Hearts pattern by Anna Hrachovec of Mochimochi Land. The ultimate goal is to string / hang / display them in some sort of adorable way in the baby’s room. She now spends most of her spare time thinking up creative ways to do so, instead of coming up with what she is going to name said baby.
*{For inquiring minds who want to know, she tweaked it to be knit in the round, increased a few extra stitches for a larger heart, and knit a few rows plain between decreases at the top for a more pronounced shape}.

Lovely idea … I just blogged about my knitted heart on Monday as I couldn’t resist knitting one up for Valentine’s Day. I love the colors that Kate chose and can imagine how pretty they will look all in strung up.
