Kate is spending a relaxing week in Vermont. A predicted snowfall of 1-3″ turned into a full foot and a whiteout for most of the day  – perfect for relaxing and knitting! One of the many projects currently on her needles is an Oscilloscope Shawl {rav link}, now available in the newly published Best of Knitscene book, knit at a smaller gauge out of Road to China Light in Peridot.

Swatching, swatching…..

We’re in San Francisco for the day before we teach at Interweave Knitting Lab visiting Margaux. So far, the day has entailed delicious Indian food, corgis, a trip to the Painted Ladies (more on that later!), and now we’re happily knitting and eating pie (and having a few libations). Not too shabby, eh?

Kate took a trip to Vermont this weekend for a mini-vacation away from the home renovations that have rendered her kitchenless for the last month. {Really. No kitchen to speak of. Even for someone who isn’t really into cooking, the whole thing is getting a bit tiresome}. Somewhere along the NY/NJ border she started crocheting granny squares out of Organik and now she can’t stop.

When the madness is over, there will be 25 squares, each unique, and they will get sewn together into a baby blanket. {8 down, 17 to go}.
